Meet David

Schedule August – November 2011

David Maslanka will be going to Spain August 19-28, 2011.  The performing group is Banda Sinfonica del Instituto Aragones de la Juventad (BASIAJ), conducted by Jordi Francis Sanjuan.  Their concert program is three pieces of mine: “Liberation,” “Give Us This Day – Short Symphony for Wind Ensemble,” and Symphony No.7. The concert schedule is:

Aug.24 in Torrevieja
Aug. 26 in Lliria
Aug. 27 in Albarracin

September 18-24, 2011 I’ll be at the University of Alabama in Hunstville for a performance of “O Earth, O Sky – Music for Flute, Cello and Wind Ensemble.”  David Ragsdale will be the conductor.

November 12-20, 2011 I’ll be at Illinois State University Bloomington-Normal, for the premiere performance of my Symphony No.9.  Stephen Steele will be the conductor.
